Rembrand Builders Merchants was established in 1967 by the present chairman, Mr Ron Brand.  Ron felt there was a gap in the market for a merchant who could provide a better service to the established builders in the area.  Materials from only reputable manufacturers are supplied from our yard at Longtown Street, Dundee.  That philosophy has been, and still is, the cornerstone on which the company is built.  Although our main line of business is with trade customers, we do welcome enquiries from the general public and self build market.

As well as stocking substantial Heavyside Building Materials, Rembrand Builders Merchants also stock an extensive range of wall and floor tiles via the Rembrand Tile Centre, which is also based at Longtown Street, Dundee.  For four decades Rembrand Tile Centre has provided a complete service to Retail Customers, Major Housebuilders and Tile-Fixers throughout the North East of Scotland.

Rembrand Tile Centre import the finest quality ceramics from countries including Spain and Italy, while supporting the U.K. Market also, for ceramics, associated tile adhesives and grouts for all applications.  These products are sourced only from suppliers who can demonstrate quality.

Our portfolio of customers extends to Hotels, Architects, Designers, Swimming Pool Companies and some of the finest Kitchen and Bathroom Suppliers in Scotland.

Rembrand Tile Centre can proudly announce for the first time, the launch of their Architectural Ceramic Tile Folder, offering a fully comprehensive range of domestic and commercial ranges from numerous ceramic tile manufacturers. Gregor Brand, Managing Director, is actively introducing these folders to Architects, Designers etc. and generally marketing the products between Dundee, Stirling, Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh, offering these professionals the most up to date, appealing and fashionable ceramic tile ranges currently on the market.

The majority of our sales staff have been with us for many years and operate as a very efficient, experienced team, who are always happy to offer advice on our comprehensive range of products.

We have a fleet of five vehicles, all with mechanical offloading facilities, which enables us to provide a first class delivery service to all our customers.  New to our fleet are 2 new DAF vehicles, one rigid sided with new M.O.L., the other a curtain sided vehicle "with moffat mounty" forklift to access even the most inaccessible delivery locations.  We have also recently purchased a Mercedes 311 CD1 Longwheelbase Sprinter for deliveries up to 1300kg.
